I'm going wreath crazy!

I saw the cutest spring wreath on Ladybird Ln. and had to make one of my own!  I decided that for this project, I wasn't going to spend any money...I had to use what was in my stash.  So this is really a FREE spring wreath!  Can't beat that, huh?

I used an old picture frame.  And that thing was uuuugly!  But a few quick coats of blue paint and I was in business!  I cut a kite shape out of an old cardboard box and attached my scrapbook paper pieces.  Since I knew I was going to hang it outside, I covered the whole thing with clear contact paper.  I have no idea how durable this will be, but I thought that might help.  I suppose you could use exterior Mod Podge if you want.  I made the tail out of leftover ribbon and added a little welcome sign with another frayed fabric flower.  Now it hangs above the blue rocker on the front porch and I love it!!

BTW, I need some advice from you lovely readers.  I want to paint my boring white front door, but not sure what color to choose.  I love the stain on the screen door because it coordinates so well with the brick, but I'd like the metal door to stand out more from the street...you know, add some curb appeal.  Any suggestions?

PS:  I know that my post looks a little wonky, but if I move that picture with the rocking chair, it jumps way to the bottom OR disappears completely.  I'm tired of messing with it.  The End.
