I took the last few weeks to regroup, so hopefully I'll be blogging a lot more now. To get the party started again, this is a fantastic recipe I just made today...so delicious and super easy! I got the recipe from The Taste of Home Cookbook: Timeless Recipes from Trusted Home Cooks. If you haven't looked at this series of cookbooks, you definitely should. They feature recipes from real kitchens and use ingredients you probably have on hand or are easy to get. Check out their website, too. You can get magazines and cookbooks to suit a variety of needs...I especially like the theme meals.
Ham 'n' Swiss Stromboli
1 tube (11 oz.) refrigerated crusty French loaf
6 oz. thinly sliced deli ham
6 green onions, sliced
8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1-1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Unroll the dough on a greased baking sheet. Place ham over the dough to within 1/2 inch of the edge. Sprinkle evenly with green onions, bacon crumbles and cheese. Roll up from the long side and pinch seams closed. Place seam side down on the baking sheet; use a sharp knife to cut several slits in the bread. Bake for 26-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving warm.
This is SO good...it's definitely a keeper! I think it'd be great for game days when the guys are sitting around the TV!
P.S. I did not get paid to advertise for Taste of Home...I'm just a HUGE fan! :)

Stromboli is so good! I am changing my lifestyle or I would eat an entire pan! Stromboli and Cowan's sweet tea!
When you get everything under control and you can have some treats every now and then, you'll have to come over and I'll make this for you. I'll let Dad make the tea, though. I think the Luscious Tea Making Ability skipped a generation!
Hello! I could have sworn I've been to this blog before but after
